1. GENERAL DUTIES
- Follow standard method and cooking process as established.
- Assist and help chef in charge to ensure that the resort hotel & golf club maintains the best reputation for its culinary product in Malaysia and abroad.
- Always prepare and maintain standard recipes, follow the presentation.
- Involve in training and development program.
- Prepare, assist and maintains the food quality standard according to company policy and procedures.
- Always keep check and maintain all operating equipment in kitchen.
- Must present with his staff in difficult situations or during busy period.
- Familiarize himself with kitchen safety, emergency and first aid procedures.
- Behaves at all times in a manner that projects the good image of the company.
- Follow and maintain the set standards of Safety and Hygiene Food Safety Management System including personal grooming in all the areas of the kitchen.
- Check receive all purchase and follow FIFO, Expiry and Storage management.
- Follow staff levels according to the established manning guide.
2. OPERATIONAL DUTIES
- Assist and support chef in charge in kitchen operation.
- Involve in all food preparation and production.
- Follow task in daily operation duties.
- Support and consistency control of various daily preparations within the kitchen to ensure quality product and adherence to hotel food standard including food safety management system standard.
- Follow assigned work area has proper level of par stocks and supplies according to daily production sheets (based on house count), daily menus and banquets events.
- Always daily check kitchen area including refrigeration, equipment, storage and working areas in clean, working condition in order to comply with health department regulations.
- Must visually inspects, selects and uses only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items. Taste and check before serving.
- Checks the proper storage of product, checking on portion control, especially in specific cuts of meat and use high stock balance, to maintain quality product.
- Must communicate with other colleagues’ staff in order to full fill and address any issues or needs requested by guests to chef in charge.
- Support chef in charge in menu development, saving programmed and implementation of menus.
- Monitors waste and over production in kitchen, as well as utilizes leftovers, ensures proper rotation and quality control.
- Support chef in charge in utilize established company control procedures for food cost, labor cost, and food quality.
- Assist in monthly inventories and ordering of food and supplies.
- Involve in training of new employees to help them achieve higher status.
- Perform all other job related duties as requested including all kitchen and supported outlet cafeteria as by the management.
- Keep do continue KPI programme as like Yield Test etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
