Role Description The Group Accountant will oversee the consolidated financial reporting for Sumi-Tech Industrial Supplies Sdn Bhd and related entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely submission of management reports. This role includes preparing group financial statements, monitoring cash flow and budgeting, managing general ledger activities, and reconciling accounts. The Group Accountant will coordinate audits and tax filings, maintain internal controls, and support process improvements across the finance function. The role also involves partnering with management to provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decisions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with group consolidation and preparation of financial statements.
• Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, audit processes, and compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., MFRS/IFRS).
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• A recognized degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a group accounting or similar role; exposure to manufacturing or engineering industries is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya and maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
