Position: Site Safety Supervisor (1 Year Contract)

Responsible for ensuring site safety by monitoring compliance, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing safety protocols. This role supports the project team in meeting safety standards and reducing incidents.

Main Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with all Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements.

2. Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

3. Monitor site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed by all personnel and subcontractors.

4. Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings before work commencement.

5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports.

6. Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and other safety-related documentation.

7. Ensure all workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

8. Coordinate emergency response procedures and safety drills.

9. Liaise with clients, authorities, and management on safety-related matters.

10. Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

11. Supporting other ad hoc relevant tasks that may be assigned to you while on the job.

Skills and Knowledge requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or other construction-related fields.

• At least 3 years of hands-on site safety supervision experience in building construction projects.

• MUST have Certified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with a valid Yellow Book, having passed the SSS examination conducted by NIOSH or any DOSH-recognized institution.

• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices, hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety compliance requirements.

• Good knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (OSHA, FMA, CIDB, and other governing acts).

• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with workers, subcontractors, and management at all levels.

• Willing to travel to project sites as required.

• Assertive, responsible, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced site environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
