The Halal Executive is responsible for supporting Halal compliance and related documentation across Cacaovia Group's manufacturing facility. This role supports the implementation and maintenance of the Halal Assurance System while coordinating with relevant departments to ensure Halal, food safety, and quality requirements are properly implemented and maintained.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and maintenance of the company's Halal Assurance System.
Manage and maintain Halal documentation and records in accordance with applicable Malaysian Halal requirements.
Monitor the validity and expiry dates of Halal certificates and supporting documents for raw materials, ingredients, processing aids, and suppliers.
Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to obtain and verify updated Halal certificates and related documentation.
Maintain and control QA/QC, food safety, Halal, SOP, specification, and other controlled documents.
Ensure proper document revision, approval, distribution, traceability, and archiving.
Support Halal certification, renewal, internal audits, external audits, and inspections.
Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Procurement, Warehouse, R&D, and Engineering to ensure Halal requirements are properly implemented.
Maintain records related to raw materials, production, cleaning, storage, handling, and traceability.
Assist in following up on audit findings, NCR, CAPA, and corrective actions.
Support GMP, HACCP, Halal, and food safety training and awareness activities.
Prepare Halal, QA/QC, and compliance reports when required.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum CGPA of 3.50 and above.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in Halal, QA/QC, food safety, or food manufacturing will have an added advantage.
Strong interest in Halal compliance, QA/QC, food safety, and document control.
Basic knowledge of Malaysian Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, or food safety management systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with good documentation and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Willing to work between the office and food manufacturing facility.
Comfortable entering the production area and complying with required PPE, hygiene, and food safety practices.
Responsible, organized, proactive, and willing to learn.
Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
