Key Responsibilities
Safely operate company heavy vehicles to transport scrap metal, recycled materials, machinery, equipment, and other goods.
Collect and deliver materials according to schedules and dispatch instructions.
Assist with loading and unloading activities, ensuring all loads are properly secured.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant, hydraulic systems, and other safety components.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, breakdowns, and maintenance issues promptly.
Complete and submit delivery orders, weighbridge tickets, manifests, and transport documents accurately.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and good housekeeping.
Comply with WSH regulations, company safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Handle scrap metal and recyclable materials safely to prevent damage, spillage, and hazards.
Support yard operations, including material movement, loading, and unloading when required.
Coordinate with supervisors, planners, customers, and yard personnel for smooth operations.
Attend safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and required training programmes.
Perform other duties assigned by the Company.
Job Requirements
Valid Singapore Class 4 or Class 5 Driving Licence.
Minimum 2 years of heavy vehicle driving experience; recycling, logistics, manufacturing, or construction experience preferred.
Good knowledge of Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
Physically fit and able to perform loading and unloading tasks.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Forklift licence and experience with lorry crane or hooklift vehicles are advantageous.
Clean driving record.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
Able to work in an outdoor recycling and industrial environment.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
