We’re Hiring: Service Engineer

RR Robotics & Engineering is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our After Sales Service team.

Position: Service Engineer

Department: After Sales Service

Reports To: Technical Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Nilai, Selangor / Remote

Travel: Local & Regional Customer Sites

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in service engineering or field service

• Experience in the filling and packaging machinery industry is an advantage

• Good understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and PLC/control systems

• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an advantage

• Willing to travel to customer sites as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of machines

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system faults

• Perform timely repairs and machine adjustments when required

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers

• Conduct machine performance checks, calibration and quality validation after servicing or repairs

• Train customer operators and technicians on proper machine operation and maintenance

• Prepare service reports, job documentation and spare parts recommendations

• Liaise with the sales and spare parts teams regarding machine upgrades, retrofits and replacement parts

• Maintain accurate records of service history, tools and equipment assigned

• Ensure all work is carried out according to safety procedures and company quality standards

• Travel to customer sites locally and regionally as required, including occasional after-hours or weekend support

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work with minimal supervision

• Willingness to work flexible hours when required
