To oversee the Housekeeping team and ensure a consistently clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency

THE JOBSCOPE
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Housekeeping team.
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet company standards.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned and released within the required timeframe.
- Assign daily duties and monitor staff deployment according to operational requirements.
- Conduct room inspections and follow up on any defects or cleanliness issues.
- Ensure housekeeping requests from guests and other departments are attended to promptly.
- Maintain proper inventory and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Front Office team regarding room status, early check-ins, late check-outs, and special guest requests.
- Report maintenance issues and follow up with the Engineering team for necessary repairs.
- Ensure proper handling and recording of lost and found items.
- Ensure all housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and hygiene requirements are followed.
- Monitor the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist with stocktaking and control of housekeeping supplies and operating equipment.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints related to housekeeping professionally and promptly.
- Ensure housekeeping operations are carried out efficiently while controlling costs and minimising wastage.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or management.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in Housekeeping, preferably in a hotel, serviced residence, or hospitality environment.
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Room Attendant is preferred.
- Good knowledge of room cleaning, housekeeping standards, hygiene, and cleaning procedures.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain service standards.
- Able to handle guest requests and complaints professionally.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physically fit and able to support operational duties when required.
