Purpose of the Role

The Assistant Production Manager supports the overall management of manufacturing operations — covering Production, Planning and Maintenance— ensuring daily operations meet quality, delivery, and cost targets while upholding safety, health, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities and Authorities

Manufacturing Operations Management

• Responsible for manufacturing operations, including Production, Planning and Maintenance functions.

• Manage and ensure daily production operations meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.

• Monitor production schedules and adjust plans to address bottlenecks, downtime, or resource constraints.

Team Supervision and Performance Management

• Supervise subordinates to achieve department goals in line with the Company's values and standards.

• Evaluate and manage staff performance, including coaching, development, and addressing performance gaps.

• Foster a disciplined, accountable, and collaborative work environment within the production team.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Maintain close cooperation with relevant departments (Quality, Planning, Maintenance, Supply Chain, etc.) and corporate level to meet department goals and objectives.

• Escalate and communicate production issues that require cross-departmental or management-level attention.

Other Duties

• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment, preferably within the agrochemical, chemical, or related process industry.

• Prior experience in a supervisory or team-lead role, with demonstrated people management capability.

• Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and production planning principles.
