RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • To assist Mill Manager oversee daily production activities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources to achieved production targets and maintain quality standard.

  • To assist Mill Manager to implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance among mill staff.

  • Manage and maintain mill equipment, scheduling regular maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

  • Monitor and control inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring efficiency supply chain management.

  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure compliance with industry standards and product specifications.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all mill machinery, optimizing equipment efficiency and longevity.

  • To assist Mill Manager preparing and analyzing production reports, identifying areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency enhancements.

  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  • Ensure healthy yield of oil (OER) and kernel extraction rates (KER), production target and wastage management.

  • Assist the Mill Manager to ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements. ie DOE, DOSH, Labour Department, MPOB, MSPO, & etc. 

  • Ensure safe working environment and good housekeeping on the production floor.

  • To perform any other task or duties assigned by the management. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in industrial sector preferably in palm oil mill.

  • Must possess 1st Grade or 2nd Grade Steam Engineer's Certificate of competency.

  • Possess knowledge of latest milling / processing technology and able to advise on continuous system and processes improvement to ensure mill production efficiency.

  • Strong leadership with dynamic qualities.
