Job Purpose:

To perform electrical installation, equipment hookup, testing, and maintenance activities for project works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation works including power distribution, cable pulling and routing, cable termination, conduit/trunking installation, and equipment hookup activities.

• Perform electrical hookup works for machinery, equipment, panels, and systems according to project requirements.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.

• Troubleshooting electrical issues and rectification works during installation.

• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.

• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are safely handled.

• Complete daily work reports and update progress to the supervisor.

• Follow all company safety rules, site regulations, and permit-to-work requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess valid electrical competency certification registered under Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ECOS), such as PW1, PW2, PW3, or PW4.

• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in Automation Engineering / building electrical installation, or construction projects.

• Experience in electrical installation works including power distribution, lighting systems, small power, cable pulling, cable termination, testing and commissioning.

• Familiar with industrial automation / building electrical systems, electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and as-built documentation.

• Able to perform electrical troubleshooting, rectification works, and preventive maintenance activities.

• Familiar with electrical testing equipment and procedures (e.g., insulation resistance test, continuity test, and polarity test).

• Good understanding of electrical safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and site safety practices.

• Able to work independently and coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other site teams.

• Willing to work overtime and support project requirements when required.
