Naval Architect

We are seeking a qualified Naval Architect to join our dynamic team in the marine industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Naval Architecture or a similar field with proficiency in 3D design software and a proactive approach to project management and innovation.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Naval Architect or similar role in the marine industry.
• Intermediate proficiency in Rhino3D and Maxsurf Stability, Maxsurf Modeler & Maxsurf Resistance
• Ability to understand and follow instructions effectively.
• Fast learner and proactive in seeking solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to generate creative ideas and innovate in design processes.
• Experience collaborating with other departments such as production and mechanical.
• Owned transport, preferably

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with other Naval Architects and marine designers on ongoing projects.
• Work in tandem with contractors, production team, and technical team to ensure project success.
• Develop detailed 3D models of marine vessels and related components for internal management and client evaluation.
• Provide high-quality 3D renderings using Keyshot for project presentations and marketing purposes.
• Generate General Arrangements (GAs) using Rhino, prepare construction plans, and manage plan submissions to surveyors. Supervise the construction process to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Perform stability analysis using Rhino based on international standards/classes such as AMSA, ISO, and RINA.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Team Leader and Management to support project goals and deadlines.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (Rhino3D, Keyshot).
• Strong understanding of naval architecture principles and design processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
