Responsibilities:
1. Material Inspection
- Verify all raw materials (metal sheets, rods, plates, alloys) meet technical specifications.
- Check dimensions, thickness and metal types according to drawings and standards.
2. Manufacturing Process Inspection
- Monitor cutting, bending, welding and machining processes for compliance.
- Ensure processes follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tolerance limits.
- Oversee machine usage to maintain dimensional accuracy.
3. Finished Product Inspection
- Perform visual inspections to detect defects such as cracks, rust, burrs or deformations.
- Conduct dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges or CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- Test functionality for products with moving parts or assemblies.
4. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Prepare daily/week QC reports.
- Maintain inspection records and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Provide data for internal and external audits.
5. Non-Conformance Management
- Identify and report products not meeting quality standards.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams for corrective actions.
- Ensure defective products are not shipped to customers.
6. Standards & Audits
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
- Assist with internal and external quality audits.
- Review procedures and suggest improvements to enhance product quality.
7. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Purchasing teams.
- Provide quality input for product design and development.
- Monitor vendors/subcontractors to ensure material and workmanship quality.
