Key responsibilities
- Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pests, entry points, nesting areas, and contributing conditions.
- Determine suitable treatment methods and prepare clear pest-management plans.
- Apply pesticides, traps, baits, and other control measures safely and accurately.
- Seal entry points and recommend sanitation, maintenance, or prevention measures.
- Handle common pests such as rodents, ants, cockroaches, termites, mosquitoes, and bed bugs.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, chemicals used, and follow-up visits.
- Explain findings, safety precautions, and prevention advice clearly to customers.
- Maintain equipment, service vehicles, chemicals, and protective gear in good condition.
- Follow workplace safety, environmental, and pesticide-handling requirements.
- Respond promptly to service requests and revisit sites when necessary.

Must-have requirements
- Practical pest-control, facilities-maintenance, field-service, or related experience.
- Knowledge of pest behaviour, inspection methods, and common treatment techniques.
- Ability to handle chemicals and equipment safely while wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills.
- Clear communication and customer-service abilities.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, crawl into confined areas, and work outdoors.
- Willingness to travel between customer locations and work occasional evenings or weekends.
- Valid driving licence where operating a company vehicle is required.
- Any pest-control licence, certification, or training legally required in the role's location.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- Recognised pest-management or pesticide-application certification.
- Experience treating termites, bed bugs, rodents, or commercial food-service premises.
- Familiarity with integrated pest management and environmentally responsible treatments.
- Experience using inspection tools, application equipment, and digital service-reporting systems.
- Knowledge of workplace health, chemical storage, and environmental regulations.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing field-service role.
- Ability to identify opportunities for preventive treatments or ongoing service plans without using high-pressure sales tactics.
