As a head chef you will be responsible for everything that goes on in your employer’s kitchen. Not only will you be required to oversee all dishes from start to finish, you are also tasked with hiring and firing employees, meeting health and safety standards and dreaming up new recipes for the restaurant you work in.

Requirements
A candidate who wants to become a head chef must acquire on the job training which is most important for career progress and advancement in the path of becoming a head chef.
A head chef must possess a lot of stamina and will power to be able to stand for long hours and work for extended hours too in order to experiment in creating new dishes.
The candidate should also possess good knowledge of food products and their availability in order to plan cuisine accordingly.
A head chef should have good organizing, supervising and time management skills to be able to oversee all the activities that take place in the kitchen in a proper manner.

VS Cafe introduces long-preserved traditions of Vietnamese cuisines to Singapore's vibrant food scene.
The newest VS Café is located at NorthShore Plaza ll in Punggol. We hope to serve residents the best traditional Vietnamese Cuisines, prepared from recipes that have been carefully handed down within the family. To offer the best culinary experience, the best quality and at the same time, affordable prices for our customers.
Our Founder- Head Chef Ms Diep Nguyen is a passionate chef and restauranteur who has mastered traditional Vietnamese cooking and mixes it with a modern touch. Diep is a proud Vietnamese Singaporean with her Vietnamese roots and Singaporean values. The Nguyen family had humble beginnings, starting with a food joint serving Vietnamese food in Saigon in 1965. In 2005 Diep brought her family recipes to Singapore leaving behind a well-paying accountant job. She started “VS Vietnamese Cuisines” in May 2005 at the National University of Singapore. Since its launch, it has been a big hit in NUS for the last 15 years. In May 2019, VS Cafe started at 332A Pasir Panjang Road.
