What You'll Do
As an Engineer – ISO Compliance, you'll play an important role in supporting the Corporate Governance & Compliance team in maintaining and continuously improving the Group's Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ensuring compliance with applicable ISO standards, legal requirements, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
Your responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of applicable ISO management systems across CAPE EMS and its subsidiaries.
- Conduct scheduled gap assessments against applicable ISO standards and customer-specific requirements, and follow up on improvement actions.
- Monitor Legal & Other Requirements (LOR) and verify departmental compliance against applicable requirements.
- Coordinate risk assessment activities, including workshops, risk registers, assessment records, and follow-up actions.
- Support the preparation and coordination of internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Maintain audit evidence, records, and documentation to ensure continuous audit readiness.
- Track audit findings and corrective actions, and follow up with process owners to ensure timely closure.
- Review and maintain controlled documents, including procedures, forms, manuals, and management system records.
- Coordinate periodic document reviews with process owners and ensure approved revisions are properly controlled and published in SharePoint.
- Compile ISO compliance KPIs, LOR status, audit findings, and corrective action performance for management reporting.
- Maintain compliance dashboards, master lists, registers, certification schedules, and compliance calendars.
- Support the preparation and delivery of ISO awareness and compliance briefings to relevant departments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather compliance evidence, resolve gaps, and support management system implementation.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Manager or Management.
What We're Looking For Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Compliance, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of ISO management systems is highly preferred.
- ISO auditing certification or relevant auditor training is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ISO systems, compliance, quality management, or management system documentation within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, automotive, or other regulated industries will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in ISO audit preparation, document control, corrective action follow-up, and compliance monitoring is preferred.
- Exposure to multiple ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, or ISO 37001 will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of ISO management systems, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SharePoint or electronic document management systems is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Able to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to the Assistant Manager.
- High integrity, accountability, and commitment to confidentiality.
