Application and Technical Support Consultant (.Net MAUI)

Wild Tech is a Microsoft Partner and leader in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations, providing our clients with the ability to keep up with the ever-changing digital world by implementing Microsoft’s FnO, Azure, Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) as well as Business Central software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) software line.

1. Role Purpose

The Application & Technical Support Consultant is responsible for delivering functional and technical support strictly within the modules, features, and components currently licensed and activated by the client. The role spans day-to-day system support, mobile application maintenance, cloud backend administration, and defect resolution, delivered as part of a collaborative support team.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 System Support

• Resolve system errors, configuration issues, and data inconsistencies across existing, licensed system modules.
• Provide first- and second-line user support, including troubleshooting and system navigation assistance.
• Monitor system health and performance, apply configuration adjustments, and implement minor enhancements as required.

2.2 Mobile App Support (.NET MAUI)

• Maintain and support existing .NET MAUI mobile applications across their full feature set.
• Manage timely updates and releases to ensure ongoing compliance with Apple App Store and Google Play Store requirements.

2.3 Cloud Backend Management (Azure)

• Develop and maintain C# batch jobs supporting mobile applications hosted on Azure VMs, including scheduled notification and reminder jobs.
• Deploy and host C# APIs related to the mobile applications.
• Maintain high availability and performance of the Azure infrastructure through proactive VM patching, load balancing, and ongoing infrastructure optimisation.

2.4 Bug Fixes & Defect Resolution

• Diagnose and fix bugs or system defects within the supported modules that prevent normal operation or cause system errors.
• Apply corrective actions for reproducible errors, ensuring root cause analysis is documented.
• Where the root cause is identified as relating to the MAUI app, infrastructure, or Azure, prepare and share a brief written impact analysis via email, together with recommended remediation actions.

3. Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on functional and/or technical experience supporting enterprise business systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, CRM/Power Platform), including configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
• Working knowledge of .NET MAUI (or equivalent cross-platform mobile frameworks) for iOS and Android application maintenance. (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
• Proficiency in C# for developing and maintaining batch jobs and API integrations.
• Experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including VM patching, load balancing, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console release and compliance processes.
• Strong analytical and root-cause diagnosis skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise written impact analyses for stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise directly with client stakeholders and coordinate across cross-functional support teams.
• Prior experience in a managed support/SLA-driven environment is an advantage.

4. Key Deliverables & Success Measures

• Timely resolution of support tickets within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Stable, compliant mobile application releases with no App Store/Play Store rejections due to non-compliance.
• Consistent Azure infrastructure uptime and performance within agreed thresholds.
• Clear, timely impact analyses provided for all defects attributed to MAUI, infrastructure, Azure or any other product as assigned by the reporting manager.
• Positive feedback from client stakeholders during monthly reporting and quarterly engagement reviews.
