Looking for an experienced strategic Head of Finance for a FMCG MNC based in PJ.

As part of its continued growth strategy, the company is seeking an experienced finance leader to partner closely with the executive leadership team and drive commercial performance across the organisation.

Your new role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position will lead the end-to-end finance function for multiple business entities, overseeing a sizeable finance team across Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Business Partnering, Financial Reporting, Compliance, Internal Audit, Governance, Tax, and Treasury.
This is a highly visible leadership role where the successful candidate will act as a key strategic partner to the business, providing commercial insights, driving profitability, supporting business expansion initiatives, and influencing critical decision-making across the organisation.

• Lead and oversee the overall finance function across multiple business entities.
• Drive inventory management & strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Partner closely with business leaders to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Lead financial modelling, business case evaluations, and investment analysis for expansion initiatives.
• Strengthen finance business partnering capabilities across commercial and operational functions.
• Ensure robust financial governance, risk management, and internal controls are maintained.
• Oversee compliance, taxation, statutory reporting, and audit activities.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support transformation initiatives, process enhancements, and digital finance projects.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading a sizeable finance function within a large organisation.
• Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance, and finance business partnering.
• Experience supporting senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions at executive level.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple finance disciplines.
• Prior exposure to retail, FMCG, consumer, distribution, or multi-site operations will be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution ability.
