About the Role

Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Housekeeping Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Housekeeping Department.

In this role, you will coordinate room status updates, guest requests, maintenance follow-ups, inventory documentation, and communication between operational departments to ensure rooms are prepared efficiently while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily room status updates between Housekeeping and Front Office.
• Monitor and update room statuses in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Coordinate guest requests and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support VIP arrivals, early arrivals, group arrivals, and special room requests.
• Raise and monitor maintenance work orders until completion.
• Maintain Lost & Found records in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Prepare operational reports, room discrepancy reports, occupancy updates, and productivity reports.
• Maintain departmental records, inventory documentation, attendance records, and filing systems.
• Coordinate communication between Housekeeping and other operational departments.
• Perform other administrative and operational duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant operational experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Housekeeping, Front Office, Rooms Division, or hotel operations.
• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Coordinator or Housekeeping Administrator is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and Property Management Systems (e.g. Opera Cloud or equivalent).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organisational, administrative, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with systems such as Knowcross, FCS, HotSOS, Quore, or Alice will be an advantage.
