Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Singapore. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), conduct cost estimates, and support tender preparation and evaluation. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring project costs, tracking variations, preparing cost reports, and assisting in contract administration and progress payments. The role also involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate measurements, pricing, and documentation. The Quantity Surveyor contributes to cost planning from pre-contract to final account, helping to maintain project profitability and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management to monitor budgets and maintain financial performance across project life cycles.
  • Experience with BOQ preparation and measurement, ensuring accurate quantities, descriptions, and pricing for tenders and contracts.
  • Strong skills in Cost Planning to support feasibility studies, budget setting, and value engineering activities.
  • Ability to prepare clear and timely Cost Reporting, including progress claims, variation summaries, and final account documentation.
  • Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, construction practices, and BCA requirements in Singapore.
  • Competence in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost estimation tools, and basic CAD or measurement software).
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in commercial, industrial, or residential building projects in Singapore will be an advantage.
