Role Description The Private Wealth Advisor Associate Director will be responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management and fiduciary advisory services to high-net-worth clients and families. This on-site role, based in Petaling Jaya, involves developing personalized financial strategies, overseeing trust and estate planning, and coordinating solutions across insurance, banking, securities, funds, and real estate. The individual will manage client portfolios, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with clients’ long-term objectives and risk tolerance, while complying with relevant regulations and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed financial assessments, preparing advisory reports and presentations, participating in industry and association events, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated fiduciary solutions. The role also entails mentoring junior team members, contributing to thought leadership, and supporting the association’s mission to enhance service quality and industry development.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in private wealth management, including trust and estate planning, investment advisory, and holistic financial planning.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products and markets across banking, insurance, securities, funds, and real estate, with the ability to integrate solutions for clients.
- Proven client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, understand complex needs, and deliver clear, tailored recommendations.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience in portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in additional Asian languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Law, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, STEP, trust or wealth management credentials) are highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and professional networks, and to contribute to industry initiatives or associations.
- High level of professional integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical standards in serving clients and representing the fiduciary industry.
