1. Job Purpose
To plan, develop, coordinate and deliver effective training programmes that enhance employees’ knowledge, skills and performance. The Trainer is responsible for preparing engaging training materials, conducting training sessions, assessing participants’ understanding, and continuously improving training content to meet the organisation’s business and operational requirements.
The role requires a proactive, adaptable and multitasking individual who can manage multiple training activities while ensuring that all training programmes are delivered professionally and effectively.
2. Roles & Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Plan and conduct training sessions for new and existing employees, including product, process, system and soft-skill training.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions through physical, online and hybrid platforms.
- Facilitate onboarding and refresher training programmes as required.
- Assess participants’ understanding and provide appropriate guidance, clarification and feedback.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements where necessary.
Training Material Development
- Design, develop and update training materials, including presentation slides, manuals, guides, handouts, exercises, assessments and other learning resources.
- Ensure training materials are clear, accurate, relevant and aligned with the organisation’s requirements.
- Develop training content based on identified knowledge gaps and operational needs.
- Maintain proper records and version control of training materials.
Training Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate training schedules, venues, participants, trainers and required resources.
- Work closely with relevant departments to identify training requirements and priorities.
- Ensure training programmes are conducted according to the approved schedule.
- Manage multiple training assignments and deadlines effectively.
Training Evaluation & Improvement
- Conduct assessments, quizzes or other evaluation methods to measure participants’ understanding and learning outcomes.
- Collect and analyse feedback from participants to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare training reports and provide updates to management when required.
- Continuously improve training methods, materials and delivery techniques.
Knowledge & Industry Support
- Keep updated on relevant products, processes, policies and operational procedures.
- Apply knowledge of the insurance/takaful industry where relevant to training programmes.
- Ensure information presented during training is accurate and consistent with approved company materials and procedures.
General Responsibilities
- Support other HR, learning and development activities when required.
- Assist in organising workshops, seminars, briefings and other learning initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and a positive learning environment at all times.
3. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Trainer, preferably in a corporate, financial services, insurance, takaful or related environment.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Training & Development or a related field.
- Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification is not mandatory, but will be considered an added advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in the insurance/takaful industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
- Able to design and develop professional and engaging training materials.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at different levels.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
- Able to multitask and manage multiple training assignments, deadlines and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other relevant digital training tools.
- Willing to adapt to different training methods and technologies.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
