Company Description Pekerjaan Piasau Konkerit Sdn Bhd (PPK), established on 1977 in Miri. The company focuses on property development, building construction, and civil engineering works including roads, bridges, and marine structures. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Miri. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), perform detailed cost estimates, and support tender preparation and evaluation. The role includes monitoring project budgets, implementing cost control measures, and maintaining accurate cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective solutions and adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include valuation of work done, preparation of progress claims and final accounts, and providing commercial insight to support decision-making.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to manage project budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience in BOQ preparation and Cost Planning for construction and civil engineering projects.
  • Candidates should possess capabilities in Cost Reporting to track expenditures, forecast costs, and support project financial reviews.
  • Relevant academic qualification such as a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, tender processes, and measurement standards; familiarity with local regulations and industry practices in Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office (especially Excel), with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor in building, infrastructure, or marine projects is an advantage.
