Job Description

Responsibilities

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site workers to ensure smooth progress of works.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed within the required timeline.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all works comply with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Review construction drawings and provide technical support to the site team.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation, including site reports, progress reports, inspection records and other project-related documents.
  • Monitor materials, manpower and equipment usage at site.
  • Identify and resolve site issues, technical problems and construction discrepancies in consultation with the Project Manager/Consultant.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health and environmental requirements.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate with relevant parties on project matters.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and managing construction works.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Experience in site supervision and coordination of construction works.
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and site practices.
  • Familiar with Singapore construction safety requirements and regulations.
  • Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Good organisational skills and able to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and other construction-related software will be an advantage.
  • Willing to work on construction sites and, when required, work beyond normal hours to meet project requirements.
