About the role

Production Shift Leader / Tool Setter / Technician role involving operation of production equipment in assigned functional areas such as Stamping. The position requires meeting set production and quality goals, undergoing occupational training for certification, and taking total ownership of in-process quality monitoring and control to meet Total Customer Satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manages and operates production equipment in the functional area assigned such as Stamping

• Strives to meet set production and quality goals on operation assigned

• Undergoes occupational training which leads to certification to be qualified to work in assigned operations area

• Manages and operates stamping machine to produce production output from the operation assigned

• Helps setup technician in tool setup and troubleshooting

• Takes total ownership of in process quality monitoring and control of assigned machine and product to meet Total Customer Satisfaction

• Manufactures parts that are required for schedule

• Completes routine line paperwork for product traceability

• Participates actively in productivity / quality enhancing programmes

• Explores improvement opportunities and makes proposals for better production and quality output

About you

• SPM / STPM or equivalent qualification

• Manufacturing experience preferred but not compulsory

• Must be willing to work in shifts

• Understanding and ability to plot and react to control charts after training

• Ability to execute ethics and workmanship that manufactures products of consistent high quality that meets requirements
