About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join GINKLY DUCT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality duct products. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading production teams, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility. This role is essential to the success of our operations and directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands whilst maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring all manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently

• Monitor production schedules and ensure targets are met within specified timelines

• Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain product standards

• Train, mentor and support production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety

• Maintain detailed production records and reports, tracking output, downtime and key performance indicators

• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production processes and propose solutions to enhance productivity

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations across the production floor

• Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate production planning and resource allocation

• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and work with maintenance teams to minimise unplanned downtime

• Address workforce issues and promote a positive, safe and professional working environment

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in duct manufacturing or related industries

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control procedures and manufacturing best practices

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

• Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Proficiency in using production management systems and basic computer skills

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff

• Preferably a diploma or certification in Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous
