About the role

This full-time position is located in Kuching, Sarawak and will play a key role in supporting our clients with their taxation needs. As a Tax Assistant, you will be responsible for a range of duties that directly contribute to the success of our growing tax advisory firm.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the preparation and filing of corporate and individual tax returns

• Conducting research to ensure compliance with the latest tax laws and regulations

• Providing administrative support to the tax consultants, including document management and client communication

• Participating in tax planning and advisory engagements to help clients minimise their tax liabilities

• Continuously updating your knowledge of taxation policies and best practices

• To monitor and liaise with Inland Revenue Board and clients on tax related issues.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a tax preparation or tax advisory role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients

• Proficiency in using tax preparation software, accounting sofware and Microsoft Office suite

• A keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest tax regulations and legislation
