Success in this position requires attention to detail in consolidation processes, proactive communication with stakeholders inside and outside finance functions, adaptability when handling complex multi-business environments, and a commitment to upholding rigorous standards of accuracy.
* Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial consolidation process across all operating subsidiaries, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations and unrealised profit adjustments.
* Prepare and present timely management reporting packs and detailed variance analyses for the Group CEO and management team to facilitate informed decision-making.
* Ensure strict compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act 2016, corporate tax regulations, and SST by managing external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretaries.
* Coordinate the compilation of annual group budgets, rolling cash flow projections, and quarterly operational forecasts to support strategic planning initiatives.
* Monitor business unit performance against targets by highlighting key cost drivers or margin slips and providing financial evaluation for capital expenditure (CapEx) as well as new business initiatives.
* Oversee daily and weekly group liquidity management by maintaining operational cash buffers and optimising working capital across subsidiaries.
* Manage corporate banking operations including trade facilities, monitoring financial covenants, and supporting new credit or financing applications as required.
* Review and strengthen standard operating procedures (SOPs) along with internal financial controls across business units to safeguard assets and manage operational risk effectively.
* Optimise ERP system usage by streamlining accounting workflows and improving month-end closing efficiency throughout all subsidiaries.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of financial processes while supporting innovation within the organisation.
