Job Purpose
The Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Site Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Mechanical & Electrical installation works at project sites to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, company procedures and statutory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily Mechanical & Electrical construction activities at project sites.
- Coordinate site workers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor work progress and ensure activities are carried out according to the approved construction programme.
- Ensure sufficient manpower, equipment and materials are available for daily operations.
- Report site progress, issues and delays to the Project Manager.

2. Mechanical Works Supervision
- Supervise the installation of pumps, blowers, mixers, motors, valves, process piping and other mechanical equipment.
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, levelling and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Verify that all mechanical works comply with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinate mechanical testing and pre-commissioning activities.

3. Electrical Works Supervision
- Supervise installation of electrical cable trays, conduits, power cables, control cables and earthing systems.
- Monitor installation of Main Distribution Boards (MDB), Distribution Boards (DB), Motor Control Centres (MCC), PLC control panels and instrumentation.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate electrical testing, energisation and commissioning works.

4. Project Coordination
- Coordinate daily work activities with Project Managers, Design Engineers, Consultants, Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors.
- Ensure Mechanical, Electrical and Civil works are properly integrated to avoid clashes and delays.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and technical issues.
- Resolve site coordination issues promptly to minimise disruption to project activities.

5. Drawing & Technical Review
- Interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings, P&ID, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
- Ensure all site works are carried out according to the latest approved drawings.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them for resolution.
- Assist in reviewing construction methods and technical solutions.

6. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Ensure all installation works comply with project specifications, company quality procedures and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
- Conduct site inspections before consultant or client inspections.
- Verify that materials and equipment delivered to site meet approved specifications.
- Ensure all inspections, testing records and quality documentation are properly maintained.

7. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), CIDB requirements and company Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
- Ensure all personnel wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify unsafe work practices and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Report accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses promptly.
- Participate in toolbox meetings and promote a strong safety culture at site.

8. Material & Equipment Management
- Monitor material deliveries and verify quantities received.
- Ensure proper storage, handling and protection of materials and equipment.
- Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Department for material requirements and delivery schedules.

9. Testing & Commissioning
- Coordinate Mechanical & Electrical testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist consultants and clients during inspections, testing and project handover.
- Ensure all defects identified during testing are rectified within the required timeframe.
- Support preparation of commissioning reports and handover documentation.

10. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.
- Maintain accurate records of manpower, machinery, material usage and site activities.
- Prepare inspection requests, checklists, testing reports and as-built records.
- Ensure all project documentation is updated and properly filed.

11. Other Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and project information.
- Safeguard company assets, equipment and documentation.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System procedures.
- Promote workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- Support successful project completion and client satisfaction.

Working Conditions
- Based at project sites throughout Malaysia.
- Five and a half working days per week (subject to project requirements).
- May be required to work overtime, weekends or public holidays to meet project schedules.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor construction environments.
- Travel between multiple project sites may be required.
Preferred Experience for Nine Hundred Builders Sdn Bhd
Candidates with experience in the following will have an added advantage:
- Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) projects
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP) projects
- Mechanical equipment installation for treatment plants
- Process piping systems
- Pump stations
- Electrical control panels and PLC systems
- SCADA systems
- Instrumentation and automation
- Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
- Design-and-build construction projects
- Coordination with IWK, SPAN, local authorities and consultants
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,999.00 per month
