Job Description

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, covering apartments, public areas and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure all apartments are cleaned, maintained and presented according to the property's established standards.
• Plan and manage housekeeping schedules for occupied apartments, arrivals, departures and long-stay guest.
• Coordinate and ensure timely preparation of apartments for new guest arrivals.
• Conduct regular inspections of apartments, public areas and other assigned areas to maintain cleanliness and quality standards.
• Plan manpower deployment, duty rosters and daily work assignments according to occupancy and operational requirements.
• Recruit, train, supervise, coach and develop housekeeping team.
• Monitor staff productivity, attendance, grooming, performance and service standards.
• Work closely with Front Office/Guest Services, Engineering and other departments on apartment status, maintenance defects and guest requests.
• Coordinate periodic deep cleaning, spring cleaning and preventive cleaning schedule for apartments and common areas.
• Manage linen, uniforms, guest amenities, cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and implement effective cost-control measures.
• Prepare and manage the Housekeeping Department's operating budget and expenses.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment and assets are properly maintained and used safely.
• Develop, review and implement Housekeeping SOPs, cleaning schedules and quality-control procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or a related discipline with Minimum 5 years of relevant Housekeeping experience, preferably within a serviced residence, serviced apartment, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience in a Housekeeping managerial or senior supervisory position.
• Strong leadership, staff management and training capabilities.
• Good knowledge of apartment housekeeping, linen management, cleaning standards and inventory control.
• Strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Service-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with property management systems would be an advantage.
• Able to work according to operational requirements, including weekends and public holidays when necessary.
