Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, month-end/year-end closing, financial statements, management reporting, and board/investor reporting.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and treasury management across both fiat and cryptocurrency holdings, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasting and variance analysis processes while providing financial analysis, scenario modelling, and business-case evaluation to management.
• Manage statutory compliance, taxation, payroll, audit and corporate secretarial matters, working closely with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other professional advisors.
• Establish and continuously improve finance processes, internal controls, approval workflows and SOPs, ensuring a scalable and well-controlled finance environment as the primary finance owner.
• Manage end-to-end Web3 and digital-asset accounting, including DeFi investments, crypto valuations, cost-basis tracking, realised/unrealised gains and losses, staking/yield income, liquidity pools, and lending/borrowing activities.
• Oversee crypto treasury and wallet operations, including hot/cold wallets, multi-signature arrangements, transaction approvals, wallet reconciliations, crypto-to-fiat conversions, and crypto payments to vendors and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust digital-asset controls and reporting infrastructure, including crypto custody practices, access and signer controls, transaction reconciliation, tax reporting, and implementation of suitable crypto accounting and treasury tools.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Web3, cryptocurrency or digital-asset accounting/financial operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of blockchain, DeFi and crypto accounting, including wallets/multi-signature infrastructure, valuation, cost basis, gains/losses, staking/yield income, and relevant tax and reporting treatment.
• Proven ability to operate independently as the primary finance owner, with experience establishing finance processes, internal controls, reporting frameworks, and governance in a fast-moving environment.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred; strong Excel/Google Sheets capabilities and familiarity with accounting and crypto-accounting systems are advantageous.
