About the Role:

Walta Engineering is looking for an experienced QC professional to strengthen our quality control team and systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will guide QC inspectors, improve inspection processes, develop practical documentation, and support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. You must also be comfortable performing measurements and inspections when required.

The role is suitable for an experienced QC specialist who can lead immediately or is ready to progress into a QC leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, guide, and develop the QC inspection team.

· Improve incoming, work-in-progress, and final inspection processes.

· Perform dimensional inspection of precision-machined parts when required.

· Develop and maintain inspection checklists, work instructions, control plans, records, and other QC documentation.

· Ensure measuring equipment, inspection methods, and records are properly controlled.

· Support ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

· Investigate quality issues and work with Production and Engineering to identify root causes and preventive actions.

· Review drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer quality requirements.

· Monitor recurring defects and recommend practical process improvements.

· Promote consistent inspection standards and good quality practices across the company.

Requirements

· Certificate, diploma, or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field.

· Proven experience in quality control within precision engineering, machining, metal fabrication, or a similar manufacturing environment.

· Able to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and inspection requirements.

· Hands-on experience using common measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other dimensional inspection tools.

· Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality documentation.

· Able to guide inspectors and communicate effectively with Production, Engineering, and management.

· Practical, organised, and willing to work directly with the team on the production floor.

Experience with CMM inspection, GD&T, root-cause analysis, PFMEA, control plans, or internal auditing will be an advantage.
