FLOOR MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant during business hours.
- Supervise and manage the performance of service staff and restaurant crew.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower is available to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the restaurant in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure customers receive friendly, professional, and high-quality service at all times.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Monitor the quality of food and beverages before they are served to customers.
- Ensure compliance with operational SOPs, food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the training, supervision, and development of new employees.
- Monitor daily operational stock levels and report shortages or requirements to management.
- Prepare daily reports on sales performance, operational activities, and any issues encountered.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team and management to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct daily staff briefings before the commencement of operations.
- Ensure all employees adhere to company policies regarding discipline, work ethics, grooming standards, and uniform requirements.
- Manage customer flow and table reservations to optimize customer experience and seating efficiency.
- Ensure the Point of Sale (POS) system operates properly and that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Oversee restaurant opening and closing procedures in accordance with established checklists and SOPs.
- Conduct routine inspections of restaurant equipment, facilities, and company assets, and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper handling of cash collections, sales proceeds, and transaction records in a secure and accurate manner.
- Assist in implementing promotional campaigns, marketing activities, and special events organized by the company.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant licenses, permits, and operational documentation requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between management, kitchen personnel, and service staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Take immediate action in response to safety concerns, emergencies, or operational risks that may affect restaurant operations.
- Monitor and drive the achievement of sales targets, operational productivity, and customer satisfaction goals established by the company.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and recommend improvements, corrective actions, or disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Ensure efficient utilization of operational supplies, utilities, and company resources to control operating costs.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time in accordance with business and operational needs.
Authority and Accountability
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of restaurant floor operations.
- Authorized to assign tasks and supervise service staff during operational hours.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, SOPs, and service standards.
- Accountable for maintaining customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and overall restaurant performance.
Pay: RM2,400.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
