Job Summary
Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and driving a comprehensive learning strategy that enhances service excellence, leadership capability, operational competence, and compliance across the hotel. This role plays a critical part in shaping the employee experience, strengthening talent pipelines, and ensuring the hotel consistently delivers luxury service standards aligned with the company's brands, strategic goals and directions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead structured onboarding programme, including the orientation, 90-Day Programme and Familiarisation Plans for managers and above.
· Drive succession planning, career development pathways, and performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with department leaders.
· Manage internship and early talent programmes (e.g. interns meeting), including recruitment, learning exposure, administration, and conversion to permanent roles.
· Represent the hotel at university engagements, career fairs, and industry events to strengthen employer branding and talent pipelines.
· Collaborate closely with department heads, HR colleagues, and external partners to deliver learning initiatives effectively.
· Develop and execute the hotel-wide Learning & Development strategy aligned with luxury hospitality standards and business priorities.
· Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and develop annual training plans covering onboarding, service excellence, leadership development, and compliance.
· Design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes using structured learning frameworks and effectiveness measurements.
· Maintain training certification standards and Training Certification Manuals (TCM) to support operational readiness and consistency.
· Conduct service observations, feedback sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold brand standards.
· Manage L&D budget and maximise HRD Levy utilisation in compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
· Support employee engagement and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in collaboration with HR and leadership teams.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
