Job Summary:

Responsible for sourcing and purchasing grocery products at competitive prices while ensuring product quality, availability, and timely delivery. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, monitor stock levels, and coordinate purchase orders to support smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase grocery/FMCG products at competitive prices.
• Negotiate prices, terms, promotions, and deals with suppliers.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely product replenishment.
• Follow up on deliveries, shortages, returns, and product issues.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor market prices and source new products/suppliers.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure product availability.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in grocery, supermarket, FMCG, retail, or wholesale industries.
• Willing to work on Saturday (alternate) based on requirement by management
• Good knowledge of grocery/FMCG products and market pricing.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to manage multiple suppliers, products, and purchase orders efficiently.
• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and responsible.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willing to travel or visit suppliers/markets when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
