Vero Advocacy is the public policy and government relations practice within Vero, Southeast Asia's leading independent communications consultancy. We help organizations understand and navigate policy and regulatory change across the region.

We're hiring a Consultant for our Malaysia team.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day management of public policy clients and internal teams in Malaysia
• Produce client reports, policy analyses, proposals, briefings and presentations in English
• Build strategic recommendations and present them to clients
• Engage ministries, regulators, industry associations and civil society stakeholders on client issues
• Monitor political, economic and regulatory developments and assess client impact
• Mentor junior team members
• Support new business pitches with ideas and strategy

Qualifications:

• 6+ years in consultancy, corporate or government affairs, government, a think tank, an industry association, a political office, or academia
• Working knowledge of Malaysia's federal and state political system, its regulators and the GLC landscape
• Advanced English plus professional working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia
• Analytical, highly organised, detail-focused
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
