Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Calibration Technician – Fresher to join our technical team. The candidate will assist in the calibration, testing, inspection, and maintenance of measuring and test equipment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in calibration of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and dimensional measuring instruments.
- Perform routine inspection and testing of calibration equipment.
- Record calibration results accurately and maintain calibration reports.
- Support senior technicians and engineers during calibration activities.
- Identify instruments that are out of calibration or outside specified tolerance limits.
- Assist with troubleshooting and basic maintenance of measuring instruments.
- Maintain calibration certificates, equipment records, and documentation.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of calibrated instruments.
- Support internal and external calibration activities when required.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of measurement and calibration concepts.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic or mechanical instruments is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of units, tolerances, accuracy, and measurement.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and Word.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn technical calibration procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Education
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of calibration standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 is an advantage.
- Internship or academic project involving measurement, instrumentation, testing, or quality control will be an added advantage.
