SSH Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Supply Chain Manager to lead and strengthen our end-to-end supply chain function as the company expands across Oil & Gas, Semiconductor, Data Center and Renewable Energy sectors.
This role is suitable for a hands-on leader who understands that supply chain is not only about purchasing, but also about cost, cash flow, supplier performance, inventory, delivery reliability and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Supply Chain function covering procurement, strategic sourcing, material planning, expediting, inventory, warehouse, logistics and subcontracting.
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with project and business requirements.
- Negotiate supplier pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, delivery commitments and long-term supply agreements.
- Build and manage a strong supplier base, including supplier qualification, evaluation and performance management.
- Improve supplier OTIF, quality, responsiveness and delivery reliability.
- Identify and develop alternative suppliers for critical materials and services.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Project teams to ensure materials are available according to production and project schedules.
- Manage long-lead items, critical material shortages and supplier recovery actions.
- Monitor material cost against project budgets and drive measurable cost-saving initiatives.
- Improve inventory control and reduce excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock.
- Strengthen warehouse and logistics controls.
- Manage subcontractors and outsourced processes based on cost, quality, delivery and capacity.
- Work closely with Finance to improve supplier payment terms, working capital and cash-flow planning.
- Support tendering and estimating teams with supplier quotations and market pricing.
- Maintain visibility of major procurement commitments and supply-chain risks.
- Develop supply-chain dashboards, KPIs and management reporting.
- Lead and develop the procurement and supply-chain team.
- Support the company's growth into new industrial sectors by developing suitable suppliers and supply-chain capabilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Preferably 8-12 years of relevant supply-chain or procurement experience.
- At least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, Oil & Gas or other industrial sectors is strongly preferred.
- Experience in project procurement and subcontracting will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, material planning, inventory and logistics.
- Strong commercial and contract-negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of costing, project margins and working capital.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality and Commercial teams.
- Strong leadership and people-development capability.
