Your Role:

We are looking for an HR Manager to lead HR operations for our Malaysia Hub, based in Kuala Lumpur. As Malaysia establishes itself as our global incubation hub, this role is a senior individual-contributor position responsible for the full breadth of on-the-ground HR delivery — from global mobility and legal entity management to payroll oversight, employee relations, and onboarding for both local and internationally relocated staff. You will work closely with the People & Culture COE team, regional HRBPs, mobility vendors, and an external payroll vendor to ensure the hub runs on sound, compliant, and scalable HR foundations as headcount grows. This role is critical to our company's ability to stand up Malaysia as a functioning regional base for talent incubation and cross-market rotation.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Job Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-8 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including at least 2-3 years handling global mobility, expatriate/relocation administration, or multi-country HR operations
  • Prior exposure to legal entity setup or statutory compliance management in Malaysia (e.g., company secretarial coordination, employment law, work permit/visa processes) is highly preferred.

Technical and Functional Skills

  • Working knowledge of Malaysian employment law, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB), and payroll cycles, with experience partnering with external payroll vendors
  • Familiarity with global mobility processes (visa/work permit applications, relocation logistics, vendor management) and HRIS/case management tools
  • Ability to design and deliver structured onboarding/training programs for a mixed local and relocated workforce

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills to navigate a matrixed structure spanning regional HRBPs, mobility vendors, payroll vendors, and legal/company secretarial partners
  • High ownership and comfort operating as a senior single contributor without a local team, balancing hands-on execution with process design
  • Clear, culturally sensitive communicator able to support employees relocating from multiple regions into a new market

Other Requirements

  • This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and requires regular on-site presence to support onboarding, employee relations, and vendor coordination
  • Occasional regional travel may be required to support cross-market mobility and training initiatives

Your responsibilities

Global Mobility & Hub Development

  • Own the end-to-end global mobility process for employees relocating into the Malaysia Hub, including visa/work permit applications, relocation logistics, and coordination with external mobility vendors
  • Act as the on-the-ground HR partner for building MY Hub into a global incubation hub, supporting workforce planning and integration as headcount from other markets moves into Malaysia

Training, Onboarding & Employee Relations

  • Own and deliver the new joiner training program for MY Hub, covering both locally hired employees and staff relocated from other regions, partnering with the Quality & Capability team on content
  • Manage the full onboarding and offboarding lifecycle for MY Hub employees, ensuring a compliant and consistent experience
  • Handle employee relations matter for the hub, escalating and partnering with the HR Leaders and COE team where needed

Payroll, Vendor & Legal Entity Management

  • Partner with the payroll specialist to execute accurate and timely payroll through the external payroll vendor, ensuring statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, etc.)
  • Manage the relationship with mobility vendors, holding them accountable for service levels, cost, and candidate/employee experience
  • Manage legal entity administration for the Malaysia entity, coordinating with company secretarial, legal, and finance partners to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance

Regional HRBP & Local Benefits Support

  • Support regional HRBPs with HR operations execution and local benefits administration for employees based in Malaysia but supporting overseas markets
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact for HR operational queries arising from the hub structure

What Success Looks Like

  • MY Hub operates as a credible, compliant global incubation hub with smooth mobility, onboarding, and payroll execution that leadership can point to as a model for future regional hubs
  • New joiners — whether local hires or relocated employees — consistently report a well-structured, supported onboarding and training experience
  • Regional HRBPs and mobility/payroll vendors experience the hub as a reliable, responsive HR operations partner rather than a bottleneck
