Role Overview

We are hiring a Jira Application Analyst (Data Center) to join a leading global technology and consulting organization supporting a large-scale Data Center transformation project. This role is ideal for a business systems professional with strong Jira Data Center expertise who can work closely with business stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements, configure Jira solutions, and support the ongoing enhancement and operation of a critical enterprise platform.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary application analyst for a customized Jira Data Center environment and serve as the main point of contact between business users and technical teams.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, and translate them into Jira workflows, configurations, dashboards, and functional enhancements.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify process improvements and recommend Jira-based solutions that support project delivery and operational efficiency.
• Configure and maintain Jira Data Center, including workflows, permission schemes, issue types, screens, filters, dashboards, and Advanced Roadmaps (Jira Plans).
• Coordinate application enhancements, change requests, user acceptance testing, release planning, and deployment activities.
• Manage day-to-day application support, including incident handling, service requests, ticket prioritization, and SLA monitoring.
• Support and troubleshoot REST API integrations between Jira and external systems.
• Perform basic ScriptRunner (Groovy) customizations and automation where required.
• Investigate database-related issues using SQL and work with technical teams to resolve performance or connectivity issues.
• Participate in system upgrades, plugin administration, SSL/HTTPS configuration, and infrastructure-related activities related to the Jira platform.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure Jira solutions align with business and project objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Jira Administration, Application Support, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with Jira Data Center administration and configuration.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Working knowledge of ScriptRunner (Groovy) and Jira workflow customization is preferred.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integration concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident management, and SLA-based support environments.
• Basic understanding of infrastructure, networking, SSL, and deployment environments.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently in a project-based environment.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications or Data Center-related projects will be an advantage.
