Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Analyst to work closely with Finance and Technology teams in enhancing financial systems, improving business processes and supporting data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of finance/accounting processes, combined with Business Analysis experience and technical knowledge of SQL, databases and C#/.NET applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements from Finance stakeholders.
• Translate Finance requirements into functional specifications, user stories and process flows.
• Analyze existing Finance processes and identify opportunities for system and workflow improvements.
• Support Finance processes including AP, AR, GL, month-end closing, asset management and cost allocation.
• Work closely with developers on enhancements involving C#/.NET applications and database-driven processes.
• Perform SQL queries, data extraction, validation and reconciliation to support analysis and system changes.
• Coordinate UAT, test scenarios, defect tracking and business sign-off.
• Support system enhancements, change requests, implementation and post-production activities.
• Liaise between Finance users, IT teams, developers and vendors to ensure requirements are delivered effectively.
• Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, user guides and training materials.
• Support process automation, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably supporting Finance or Accounting functions.
• Good understanding of AP, AR, GL and other Finance processes.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis and UAT.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of C#/.NET concepts and ability to engage with developers.
• Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or other Finance/ERP systems would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CBAP/IIBA, ACCA, CPA or related certifications would be advantageous.
