Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features approximately 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, a large ballroom, four meeting rooms and flexible event spaces, a rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool.

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Events Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of event planning and execution. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, banquets, and social events while ensuring outstanding guest experiences and operational excellence.

This position reports to the Director of Events / Director of Sales & Marketing.

An individual with a strong service mindset and proven event management expertise, you will be confident, highly organized, and driven in your approach. You are known for your ability to build strong client relationships, coordinate multiple priorities, and deliver seamless event experiences. You must be detail-oriented, solution-focused, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while collaborating closely with all hotel departments.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrate proven experience in planning and coordinating corporate, social, hospitality, or large-scale events.
• Previous experience within an international hotel, resort, or hospitality environment will be highly advantageous.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Possess strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining service excellence.
• Demonstrate leadership abilities with experience supervising, coaching, and developing event teams.
• Ability to effectively interact with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Must possess the following characteristics: high energy, strong customer focus, commercial awareness, creativity, self-motivation, adaptability, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in additional languages will be an advantage.
• Candidates with pre-opening hotel experience will have a distinct advantage.
