Role Description The Security Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Johore, Malaysia. The Security Officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, control access to premises, and ensure the safety of people, property, and assets. Daily responsibilities include observing and reporting suspicious activities, responding to security incidents and alarms, and enforcing site rules and safety procedures. The Security Officer will complete incident and shift reports, collaborate with supervisors and clients, and support emergency responses as needed. The role requires consistent punctuality, professional conduct, and adherence to company standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine patrols, access control, and basic surveillance tasks to maintain site safety.
• Strong observation, situational awareness, and reporting skills to identify and document security incidents accurately.
• Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures and safety practices, with the ability to act calmly under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, visitors, and team members in a professional manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, adhere to company policies, and work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues.
• Physical fitness sufficient for standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods, and performing light security-related tasks.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the assignment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant security certifications or training are an advantage.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and respectful treatment of all individuals on-site.
