Your Mission

As the R&D Full Stack Developer for Frontier, DeltaFrontier’s Smart Rack Management solution for next-generation data centers, you will spearhead the research, development, and engineering efforts to bring this innovative platform to life. You will architect scalable, secure, and intelligent systems that collect and process real-time telemetry from smart racks — power, thermal, access, and asset data — automate data center operations, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards, alerts, and APIs. Your leadership will drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of the Frontier Smart Rack Management platform, including system architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Architect and oversee the development of core modules such as rack-level environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, airflow), intelligent power management (PDU/UPS integration), U-space asset tracking, smart access control, and predictive analytics for capacity planning and anomaly detection.
• Guide the development of scalable, intuitive front-end dashboards and user interfaces for real-time rack visualization, data center floor views, alarm management, and operational analytics.
• Design and manage Java (Spring Boot) back-end services to ingest, process, and analyze high-frequency data streams from rack sensors, intelligent PDUs, environmental probes, and DCIM/BMS enterprise systems.
• Establish and enforce best practices in software engineering, security, testing, and deployment (DevOps), including support for on-premise, air-gapped, and hybrid cloud deployments typical of data center environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, UI/UX designers, hardware/firmware engineers, QA) to define technical roadmaps and feature deliverables.
• Mentor and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, high performance, and continuous learning.
• Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in data center infrastructure management (DCIM), IoT protocols, edge computing, and AI-driven operations to incorporate cutting-edge advancements into the platform.
• Manage project timelines, resource planning, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Promote a collaborative, agile work environment that encourages creative problem solving and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong portfolio of production-grade systems.
• Proven leadership experience in leading development teams or engineering squads in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical proficiency in:
• Front-End: React.js, Vue.js, or Angular with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Back-End: Java 11+ with Spring Boot / Spring Cloud microservices (primary stack); exposure to Node.js or Python is a plus
• Data & Device Integration: REST APIs, real-time streaming (Kafka, MQTT), WebSocket; familiarity with SNMP, Modbus, or BACnet for device connectivity
• Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL, time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB), ORM tools (MyBatis, Hibernate/JPA)
• Cloud & Deployment: AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus on-premise/private cloud deployment experience
• Containerization & CI/CD: Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM), BMS, or monitoring platforms (e.g., Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of data center hardware and protocols: intelligent PDUs, UPS, sensors, RFID asset tags, SNMP, Modbus, IPMI, or Redfish.
• Familiarity with data center operations: power capacity planning, cooling efficiency (PUE), rack security, and audit/compliance requirements.
• Background in building enterprise SaaS platforms or B2B applications; experience with AI/ML for predictive maintenance or anomaly detection is a plus.
