Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety & Health Compliance
- Ensure the construction site complies with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (FMA), and relevant DOSH regulations.
- Enforce site safety rules, policies, and procedures.
2. Site Safety Inspection
- Conduct daily safety inspections at the construction site.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure machinery, equipment, scaffolding, and tools are safe for use.
3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Management
- Ensure all workers wear proper PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, vests, gloves, and safety harnesses.
- Monitor availability and condition of PPE.
4. Safety Training & Induction
- Conduct Safety Induction for new workers, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Organize toolbox meetings and safety briefings regularly.
- Promote safety awareness among workers.
5. Safety Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports.
- Record and report accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain safety documents such as HIRARC, JSA, MSDS, Permit to Work.
6. Accident & Emergency Management
- Investigate accidents and incidents and submit reports to management and DOSH when required.
- Implement and monitor the Emergency Response Plan.
- Ensure first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment are available and in good condition.
7. Subcontractor Safety Control
- Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with site safety requirements.
- Stop work activities if unsafe conditions or serious hazards are identified.
8. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Safety Officer (SHO), Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and other relevant parties.
- Attend safety meetings and inspections by authorities.
9. Site Safety Signage & Housekeeping
- Ensure safety signage, barricades, and safe access routes are properly installed and maintained.
- Promote good housekeeping practices at the site.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field.
- Relevant experience in construction/site safety is preferred.
- Knowledge of DOSH requirements and Malaysian safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and monitor site safety activities effectively.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
