Job Description

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant/Business Analyst to join our Business & Technology Integration team on a large-scale SAP S/4HANA rollout program for a global healthcare and pharmaceuticals organization focused on innovative medical solutions and diagnostics. This role requires deep functional expertise in Material Management, strong cross-functional integration knowledge, and mandatory hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, given the specialized regulatory and process requirements unique to this domain.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Accountability

  • Take accountability for project success as the Functional Consultant on assigned workstreams.
  • Deliver IT and business deliverables in line with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Support the development of To-Be processes based on user requirements within the assigned workstream.

Requirements & Solution Design

  • Support scoping activities and develop functional specifications, confirming developments with technical teams.
  • Configure the SAP system and document configuration according to project standards.
  • Identify and escalate configuration-related conflicts across different projects within the same SAP environment or interfacing systems/tools.
  • Apply strong understanding of Material Management (MM) processes, including cross-functional and integration process flows, data, and dependencies.

Testing & Data Migration

  • Support creation of test specifications and preparation of test data, including setting up the testing environment.
  • Support data migration activities and perform cutover activities as required.
  • Provide country/site-specific system know-how depending on project scope and regional requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

  • Apply good understanding of SolMan ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Exercise influencing capabilities across business and Informatics (IT) groups, up to director-level stakeholders.
  • Manage ambiguity effectively and conduct rapid prototyping to mature and validate requirements.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment, often across multiple initiatives in parallel.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP experience.
  • Mandatory experience in the Pharmaceuticals industry and its associated processes — this is a critical requirement for this role given the regulatory and compliance-driven nature of the domain.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Material Management (MM), with strong understanding of cross-functional/integration process flows, data, and dependencies.
  • In-depth understanding of the architectural framework for the finance domain and connected portfolios/interfaces.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • Very good command of English (speaking and writing), with prior work experience in a multinational environment.
  • Good understanding and application of tools, principles, concepts, and techniques related to requirements, data, usability, and process analysis.
  • Good understanding of SolMan ALM methodologies.
  • Readiness to travel depending on project/service needs.

Business & Soft Skills

  • Strong influencing capabilities, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders up to director level in both business and Informatics groups.
  • Strong conceptual ability — capable of understanding complex problems/information and representing ideas in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and conduct rapid prototyping to mature requirements.
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment, often across multiple parallel initiatives.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on a strategic, large-scale SAP S/4HANA rollout program within the healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector.
  • Gain exposure to enterprise-scale Material Management and finance-integrated processes in a regulated industry.
  • Collaborate with experienced cross-functional business and technology teams.
  • Long-term engagement with strong career growth opportunities.
