Tooling Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other production tooling.
• Inspect tooling condition and identify wear, damage, defects, and potential failures.
• Carry out mould/tool repair, modification, adjustment, and replacement of damaged components.
• Conduct cleaning, lubrication, polishing, grinding, fitting, and other tooling maintenance activities.
• Ensure tooling is restored to the required specifications and operating condition.

Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot tooling-related problems during production.
• Investigate recurring tooling defects and identify root causes.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve tooling issues and minimize production downtime.
• Provide technical support during mould/tool trial and production start-up.

Tool Fabrication & Modification

• Perform basic machining and fitting work using machines and hand tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tooling drawings, and technical specifications.
• Assist in tooling modification and improvement projects.
• Measure tooling components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Ensure tooling dimensions meet required specifications.

Preventive Maintenance

• Follow the established tooling preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain proper records of tooling maintenance, repairs, modifications, and replacement parts.
• Monitor tooling condition and recommend replacement or refurbishment when necessary.
• Ensure all tools are properly stored, labelled, and maintained after use.

Production Support

• Respond promptly to tooling breakdowns and production requests.
• Support production during mould/tool changeover and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure tooling is available according to the production schedule.
• Participate in tooling trials and validation activities.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
