Job Summary

The Purchasing Intern will support the Purchasing Department in sourcing activities, supplier coordination, procurement documentation, and ERP data updates. This internship provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes within the furniture manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
• Support the Purchasing team in preparing Purchase Orders (PO).
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules and shipment status.
• Assist in maintaining procurement records and documentation.
• Support ERP system data entry and updates.
• Coordinate with Project, Material Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance tracking.
• Follow up on quality issues, shortages, and supplier claims.
• Prepare procurement reports and summaries.
• Perform other administrative and ad hoc duties assigned by the department.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in:
• Business Administration
• Supply Chain Management
• Purchasing
• Logistics
• Procurement
• Operations Management
• Related disciplines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
• Responsible, organized, and able to work independently.
• Internship period of at least 3 months.
