Job description:
Quality Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop, implement, and maintain annual quality audit schedules in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Plan and conduct periodic internal and external audits to verify conformance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable standards.
- Oversee audit findings, ensure effective corrective and preventive actions and continuously monitor improvement effectiveness.
- Report audit outcomes and trends to management for governance and decision-making.
Quality Compliance & Performance Monitoring
- Conduct QA/QC technical compliance reviews, ensuring timely updates to procedures and quality documentation.
- Perform quality performance analysis and reporting, including customer satisfaction metrics, quality incident rates, and competency gap assessments.
- Review quality-related contractual requirements to ensure alignment with company standards and client expectations.
- Oversee site QC Teams’ technical competencies, performance, and compliance with approved Quality Plans.
- Manage and control the company’s codes, standards, governing documents, and quality guidelines.
- Manage and respond to client enquiries, complaints, and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Quality Culture & Campaign Management
- Lead company-wide quality awareness programs to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
- Plan and execute quality campaigns and initiatives to drive best practices across all departments and project sites.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ownership in quality performance at all organizational levels.
Continuous Improvement & Standardization
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Drive standardization of quality implementation across all business units and projects.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and certification / regulatory bodies (e.g. DOSH, CIDB, certification bodies) to maintain compliance and high-quality standards.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Master’s Degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or related fields is an added advantage.
Professional Certifications (Preferred / Highly Recommended)
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor – Highly Recommended
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt) – Added Advantage
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent
- Relevant industry certifications such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ASQ, or equivalent
Work Experience
- Minimum 10 years of working experience, with the majority in quality management, governance, compliance, and audits.
- Demonstrated experience in leading ISO 9001-based quality audits.
- Proven track record in developing quality strategies, continuous improvement programs, and quality culture initiatives.
- Experience liaising with regulatory authorities such as DOSH, CIDB, and handling statutory compliance.
- Mandatory leadership and managerial experience in quality-related roles.
