As a Software Developer, you will work alongside the development team to build, maintain, and improve web applications. You will gain hands-on experience with frontend and backend development while contributing to real projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web application features using JavaScript and React.js.
• Create reusable React components and manage application state using hooks.
• Assist with backend development using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work with databases by writing basic SQL queries and understanding existing schemas.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix software bugs.
• Read, understand, and contribute to existing codebases.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate through branches and code reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in team discussions, technical planning, testing, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Perform other development-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Must-have Skills

• Solid understanding of JavaScript fundamentals, including ES6+, async/await, closures, and array methods.
• Working knowledge of React.js, including components, hooks, state management, and props.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills, including SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, and GROUP BY.
• Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
• Ability to read and understand existing codebases.
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and work collaboratively.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience building REST APIs with Express.js.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Exposure to an ORM such as Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize.
• Understanding of basic REST API concepts.
• Experience with personal, academic, or open-source software projects.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
