JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed renovation quotations, cost estimates and bills of quantities (BQ).
• Take-off quantities from architectural, structural and renovation drawings.
• Prepare material and labour cost calculations.
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate prices.
• Prepare project budgets and cost breakdowns.
• Monitor project costs and ensure works remain within the approved budget.
• Prepare variation orders (VO) and additional work quotations.
• Check subcontractor claims and progress claims.
• Monitor material usage and project expenses.
• Assist the Project Manager and Site Team with cost-related matters.
• Maintain proper documentation for quotations, purchase orders, invoices and claims.
• Conduct site measurements when required.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Perform other duties related to quantity surveying and project costing as assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in renovation or construction.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Good knowledge of renovation materials, labour costs and construction processes.
• Able to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
• Good calculation and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transport is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kajang: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

• Project management: 1 year (Preferred)
